John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Lauren Conrad attend VH1 Save the Music Gala

The VH1 Save the Music Foundation 2010 Gala was held last night in New York City at Cipriani Wall Street. Many celebrities attended including John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Kristin Chenoweth, Julie Andrews, John Legend, Lauren Conrad, actor Billy Burke, Pete Wentz, singer Melanie Fiona and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
 
This year's event, sponsored by LG Mobile Phones, was hosted by actor Cheyenne Jackson and featured performances by Good Charlotte, Kristin Chenoweth and Natasha Bedingfield. 
 
Jason Mraz announced a surprise $100,000 donation to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation as he presented an honorary award to The ASCAP Foundation, represented by legendary songwriter and Foundation President, Paul Williams. Mraz is partnering with LG Mobile Phones to make the generous contribution.
 
John Legend and John Mayer also received special honors last night. In tribute to Julie Andrews, Kristin Chenoweth performed a medley of songs in honor of the 45th Anniversary of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music
 
An exclusive online auction to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, entitled "My Favorite Things" runs through November 23 at charitybuzz.com/myfavoritethings. The auction features meet & greets with artists who support the Foundation's mission, an exclusive Cirque du Soleil ticket package to Wintuk and Viva Elvis, and a Broadway show package with tickets to Memphis and Jersey Boys along with a cast meet & greet.
